The "Lynwood Gold" forsythia cultivar is considered among the most uniform and reliably blooming forsythias. Its yellow-gold flowers have four petals, fused at the base and the flowers appear in clusters before the foliage emerges in spring. The blooming period lasts one to two weeks. With a growth rate of up to fourteen inches per year, the Lynwood gold forsythia matches the growth rate of most other forsythia shrubs.

Light lemon yellow flowers all along the stems make an incredible show. These simple and easy to grow plants are hardy from zones 5-8 and make large rounded shrubs about 8' round and 8' high but can pruned every year if needed. Forsythia also make a beautiful hedge.
