For all the fig lovers of the world, here is an outstanding variety that has proven to not only be cold hardy down to U.S.D.A. Zone 6, but to also produce two crops per year even in the cooler Pacific Northwest, and even ripen reliably in the NW.
This very thin-skinned deliciously sweet fruit produces a striped deep purple and green striped fruit that is great for canning, drying or just eating fresh off of the tree. Does best in full sun and evenly moist soil. Best to prune after harvest in order to control size.
